Day 1

Meet & greet Cape Town International Airport, 24km road transfer to Executive Waterfront Suites. Relax unwind and rest.

Late afternoon Sundowner Champagne & Oyster cruise on your 38 ft Executive Yacht in Table Bay.

Gourmet Supper prepared by our on-site chef with private floor show by local African Mambaso dancing group.

Day 2

After breakfast on the patio we depart by road along the Atlantic seaboard via Clifton on a Peninsula Tour.

Do a seal island trip at Hout Bay, sample some local snoek by traditional fishermen

Drive the senic Chapmans Peak drive to Simons Town to see the Penquin Collony at Boulders

Then on to the Cape Point National Park where the mighty India and Atlantic Oceans meet.

After lunch we drive 10 km back to Simons Town where we board our executive yacht for an ocean cruise back to Cape Town.

Day 3:

  1. Table Mountain;

baggage drop off & check in, then our fantastic journey begins in Cape Town, the Mother City of South Africa first started in 1652 by Jan van Riebeeck. We go up 1,087 meters the fantastic Table  Mountain by means of the cable car. (Weather permitting)

 

looking out over our President - Nelson Mandela's old prison on Robin Island and the entire Cape Town, Clifton, Bantry Bay, Blauberg Strand and up and down the coast as far as the eye can see.

From there, we will undertake an orientation tour of Cape Town, Malay Quarter & V& A Waterfront.

Next morning after a full South African Breakfast we take a walk to freedom and visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent 27 years of his life.

In the afternoon we visit the South African National Botanical Gardens, Kirstenbosch and the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and it's Aquarium.

Day 3

Today we do a peninsula tour along the Western Boulevard through Bantry Bay, Clifton with it's hillside condos for the rich and famous, past the quaint little fishing village of Hout Bay where we take a trip on a boat out to sea to see the seals on Seal Island.

Down to Muizenberg and Simons Town to Boulders with its Jack-ass penguin colony.

 

On to Cape Point, the "Tip of Africa", along the breathtakingly beautiful mountains and its road inspectors, the Cape Blue Monkey and Baboon and onto the Cape Point Nature Reserve where the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans meet.

  • Back via the Cape Flats, village of Somerset West, to Stellenbosch where we overnight on a wine farm.

     

    Here in the Wine Country of South Africa. Here you will palate the most delicate bouquets of some of South Africa's best wines, sherries and ports.

    Day 4

    After breakfast we do a walking tour of Stellenbosch, then on to Delheim and Muratie for wine tasting, then to Franshoek. The French Huguenot monument on to Villiersdorp, where we visit the unforgettable Kelkie Wyn Wine Cellars and the picturesque Theewaterkloof Dam.

     

    Then down to the coast via Botrivier and we check in at our accommodation in the small fishing village of Hermanus (The Whale Capitol of the World). We visit the Harbour and Bientang’s cave.

    We have a choice of the Marine Nature Reserve or the Fernkloof Nature Reserve. We spend a afternoon relaxing to your own whim. As night falls we listen to the call of the whales from the Cave Restaurant.

    Day 5

    We leave Hermanus, through Gansbaai, and we have Tea in Cape Agullhas, the most southern tip of Africa.

     

    Back to the main road we pass through Swellendam with it's tremendous White Cape Dutch Architecture. We enjoy lunch at Zandrift Restaurant then on to Mossel Bay.

     

    With it's temperate climate we take an unforgettable trip on a sailing ship and visit the Seal Island. We shop in this little bustling fishing town and spend some leisure time sun bathing, taking a relaxing swim on one of the safest beaches in South Africa.

    Day 6

    Protea

    After breakfast we travel up over the mountains of the Robinsons Pass into a different world, warm, arid, dry but covered in fascinating vegetation, the occasional Springbok and the Ostrich.

     

    We travel to the heart of the Little Karoo Wine Country, Oudtshoorn, center of the Ostrich Kingdom. We do some shopping and set off to an Ostrich Show Farm where you can see, feel, touch, sit on and ride one. We travel to the Crocodile- and Cheetah Farm.

    We finally tackle the famous Cango Caves and explore every piece of it's clammy splendour.

  • We relax and watch the sun set from our guest house in the mountains.

    Day 7

    Today we head for the Great Karoo and navigate the tremendous Swartberg Pass.

     

    Looking down from the view point the air is cold and clean and one can see into tomorrow. Down the other side with its fascinating red rock formations and Fynbos we arrive in Prince Albert So big that you can walk through it in 10 minutes, yet full of rich history and sights. We head down the R407 to Meirings Poort where we stop in the gorge for a refreshing walk with 400m mountains towering above us on either side. We pass through De Rust with its interesting mix of house styles from all influences, past Oudtshoorn onto George via the 800m Outeniqua Pass, Dolphin's Point.

    Wilderness, then we head through Sedgefield to the most picturesque town on the Garden Route - Knysna.

     

    We do a sundowner cruise on the lagoon.

    Day 8

    Next morning we follow the route of the Outeniqua steam train to George. 

    We head back to Knysna we spent the afternoon in the arts and crafts markets of Knysna. and catch the sun going down over the lagoon from our open-air tables at the Knysna Oyster Farm. With a gentle semi sweet white wine flowing we sample the night life of Knysna.

    Day 9

     

    After breakfast we engage with local black township folk on a township tour. Then rest of the day is set aside for adventure.

     

    We visit the Knysna African Elephants. We undertake a dolphin/whale tour on the ocean (weather permitting), visit Monkeyland the primate sanctuary.

    Day 10

    Day 10 we head up through Plettenberg Bay, Nature's Valley we enter the thick green indigenous forests with it's Yellow Wood giants and ferns. Up through the passes of Bobbejaans and Storms River Bridge and Blou Krans where you could take a 216 meter bungi jump (excluded).

     

    We head along to the Big Tree and settle down at the Tsitsikamma National Park with its unspoiled beauty, hikes, nature, and peace.

    Day 11

    We leave the forests behind and travel past Jeffrey's Bay the famous surfing paradise to our next stop is Port Elizabeth. On we move to the Addo Elephant Park where we go on open vehicle 4x4 safari to see these Giants of the African Bush in action. 54,000ha of African Bush with 346 giants lurking in the shadows.

    In the evening we do a night drive on a open vehicle to spot the night creatures of the African Bush. We overnight at our lodge for our next safari, the sounds of the African Wild calling out.

    Day 12

    After breakfast we spend the whole day at Shamwari Game Reserve doing a traditional African Lunch with a visit to Kaya Lendaba a traditional live Xhosa & Zulu village the we do a 3-4 hour game drive for the Big 5.

    Day 13

    Next day we set off to Amakahla Game Reserve for a morning game tracking and lunch on the deck by the waterhole.

    Then on to Schotia Lion Ranch where the lions of the Eastern Cape are abundant together with buck, wildbeest, zebra, springbok, kudu and Eland. We do an open vehicle game drive into the night where we face African Lion with only a spotlight at 20 yards away.

    If luck is on our side we might see a real lion kill if they are hungry. After a experience you will never forget in your whole life we sit down in our open air Lapa with a Traditional "Potjie" BBQ, with crocodiles, lions, wild pig and antelope just the other side of the Lapa. We overnight at our lodge.

    Day 14

    We are up early, a good Champagne breakfast and we leave the African Bush and set off on the last leg of our journey to Port Elizabeth. We browse the local shops, markets and stalls for anything that you want to take home.

    Here we spend time sunbathing and swimming and tanning just like the South Africans do until its time to say goodbye and we get you safely and timorously to the Airport for your connection flight home.
